your Experience

I know it can be overwhelming to book a photography session. Working with my families it is my goal to make the process as stress-free as possible. I will be with you every step of the way. From our very first contact until we preserved your memories and they can be seen, touched, and felt every day as you relive them on your walls, in your hands, and in your heart.

You will find that the booking process is very simple and easily done online. After you’ve booked your session I will help you prepare. I will never be more than an email, text or phone call away. I am here to answer all your question you might have and help you personalize the session to your needs. I hope to take a lot of the stress out of the process for you. I want you to not only absolutely love your images but I want you to fondly think back at our session and remember what a great time we had together.

It is all about

THE WAY IT MAKES YOU FEEL

Next:  Family Portraits

Remember how it felt when you held them for the very first time. They were the most perfect thing in the world. How about those moments when you feel like you are taming baby sharks …

Kids will be kids and every child is different with their own personality and wide range of emotions. Every picture tells a story - especially childhood portraits. It is my mission to help you remember the way they always held your hand and the times only you could dry their tears. Remember the time they lost all of their teeth at once? And how about the way they always twirled their hair?

Hold on to the very moment and let me show you as your are, in your portraits. Enjoy a photo session with me in Central Illinois and experience how much fun it can be to be photographed and create one of a kind memories.

Let your children play and naturally interact with you. We will make silly faces, run around and tickle each other. I will capture the beautiful moments on camera to create authentic and emotional images. My focus will be on your family and your relationships to each other so that the pictures will show the uniqueness of your family.

What should we wear for our family session. Probably the most commonly asked question as I help my clients to prepare for their session. As a matter of fact I have written a whole blog post about the topic.

How to dress for the  session ?

Also please know that if you book a portrait session with me you will receive a session guide from me. I contains an incredible amount of helpful information and tips on how to prepare to make your session a success.

Keeping a close eye on the weather forecast is a great point to start. I recommend we don’t make any decisions until the evening before your session.

What if it rains ?

I ask my families to be flexible when it comes to the timing on the day of their session. Sometime this problem can be solved but just changing the time when we will meet, while other days we might have to re-schedule. Or if you are up to it, let's bring the right gear and embrace the rain!

Also keep in mind that bright sunshine is not necessarily the best weather for a photo session. Cloudy weather is actually great for pictures. Clouds are nature’s diffuser and create a beautiful soft light.

You will receive a link with access to an online image gallery within two weeks of your session. The gallery will contain all available images from your session.

WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME ?

Prints products have an average turn-around between one and two weeks for most products.

I try and stick to these times as I strive to deliver the best service to you each and every time. However please do know there might be times where this can slightly vary for me as well as the photo lab that I am working with, e.g. Fall and Christmas time. This is mostly due to the increased volume during that time.

I can not stress enough how important it is to print your portraits and not just let them sit on devices! Check out the full blog post on this matter through the button below or read on for a short version.

SHOULD I PRINT MY IMAGES?

When you print your portraits, you are :

More likely to see them daily. There are studies that show that images of themself and their family, improve kids confidence and self-esteem as well as promote a feeling of belonging.

Prints are are a tangible object something you can physically touch. The screens on our devices are tiny and most of the time not very true to life.

And it always good to have another copy of your images, one that is not digital.
